Are You Angry and Confused ??
As a survivor of a death by suicide we work our way through so many emotions and feelings that at times can totally overwhelm us. Being angry is one of the things many survivors find themselves feeling. Sometimes we are angry at the person, sometimes we're angry at others, and sometimes we are just angry at the situation. I have found that it's very common among survivors to find themselves in some stage of anger (mild to severe) at the one year date of the death. Even those that were never angry before have found themselves feeling angry and 'edgy' at the one year mark. Not realizing it's connected to the death they can't figure out 'what's wrong with me?'
Often the survivor feels that it's a betrayal to feel anger toward the deceased, so they don't know where to 'aim' that anger. What do you do with anger when you're angry at the situation? Below are some useful links to help you with those feelings, and to help you understand them.
